About Sydney Riester

Dr. Sydney Riester grew up in Michigan and attended Michigan State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 2021. She then attended the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2026 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.

During her clinical year, Dr. Riester traveled throughout the country and gained experience in a variety of emergency and specialty settings. She is excited to return to the desert and begin her career in emergency medicine. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery and trauma cases. Dr. Riester values clear, compassionate communication with clients and strives to ensure they feel informed and involved in their pet’s care.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Riester enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, and spending time with friends. She looks forward to exploring more of the desert and continuing to grow both personally and professionally in this next chapter of her career.
