About Shannon Cochran

Dr. Shannon Cochran grew up in the desert of Tucson, Arizona. She stayed close to home for college where she attended The University of Arizona, graduating Magna Cum Laude with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in both Ecology/Evolutionary Biology and Veterinary Science.

Venturing away from the desert and into mountain terrain, Dr. Cochran traveled to Colorado for veterinary school. Her studies allowed her to pursue passion projects at the Phoenix zoo and abroad in South Africa, earning her DVM degree from Colorado State University in 2011.

Since graduating veterinary school, Dr. Cochran has practiced primarily emergency medicine in large multi-specialty hospitals. She enjoys the fast pace, critical thinking, and case diversity that is at the heart of emergency medicine. She is passionate about not only providing the best care possible to her patients, but also in working as a team with pet parents.

In her spare time she enjoys traveling, watching horror movies, and spending time with her family.
