About Josh Fender

Dr Fender was born and raised in a small town in Manitoba, Canada. He always knew he wanted to be a veterinarian, telling his mother when he was less than 5 years old that he “wanted to be an animal doctor” one day. After high school, Dr Fender obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honors (Zoology/Microbiology) from the University of Manitoba. He then went on to veterinary school at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan graduating in 2005.

Dr Fender wasn’t done learning more about small animal surgery and medicine, so after veterinary school, he went on to complete a 1 year rotating internship at the largest veterinary referral center in Toronto, Canada. After the rotating internship, Dr Fender moved state side to Las Vegas! It’s here that Dr Fender completed a 1 year surgical internship, honing his small animal surgical skills. It’s also in Las Vegas where He met his wife.

Dr Fender and his wife moved to Tucson in 2012. He and his wife have 3 two legged children and 5 four legged furry ones.
