About Matthew McDaniel

Matthew McDaniel, DVM is an experienced mixed animal veterinarian and a 2007-2011 graduate of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. He also holds a Master of Science degree in Pathobiology from the University of Arizona (2004-2006) and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Missouri (1999-2002).

Dr. McDaniel has authored a couple publications throughout his career, including “A Survey of Southern Arizona Calves for Persistent Infection with Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus” (The Bovine Practitioner, 2010) and “Effect of IGF-I and EGF on porcine preantral follicular growth and development” (J of Theriogenology, 2003).

Professionally, Dr. McDaniel has worked as a mixed animal practitioner in Missouri, Arizona, and Colorado from 2011 until 2016, and most recently served as the large animal veterinarian for the University of Arizona. He was born in Holbrook, Arizona and grew up in southeast Missouri. He likes St. Louis Cardinals games, hunting and fishing.
