About Jorge Pineiro

Jorge Pineiro, DVM, BS was born and raised in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences from The Ohio State University. He went on to graduate from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed his clinical rotations at Louisiana State University. Afterwards, Dr Pineiro did his small animal rotating internship at Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center and an ophthalmology specialty internship at Southeast Animal Eye Specialists.

Outside of his professional life, Dr Pineiro is passionate about many things, including helping and educating others, traveling, going to the beach, and watching sports. He currently has a dog named Loux, who he adopted from a rescue in Lake Charles, LA.
