Stephanie Szabo, VMD, Diplomate American College
of Veterinary Surgery

Dr. Stephanie Szabo received her Veterinary Medicine Doctoris from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003. She went on to complete a general medicine and surgery internship from the Animal Medical Center in New York City in 2004, followed by a surgery specific internship from the Dallas Veterinary Surgical Center in Dallas, Texas in 2005.

Dr. Szabo returned to the University of Pennsylvania to complete a one year research fellowship in hip osteoarthritis with the Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Group and became PennHIP certified in 2006.

She continued her surgical education by completing a three residency in surgery at North Carolina State University. Dr. Szabo enjoys all aspects of surgery both orthopedic and soft tissue with a special interest in hip and stifle disease.

Dr. Szabo received board certification as a Diplomate in 2011 from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS). A Diplomate signifies advanced training and is the highest medical designation for veterinarians.
