Cardiology
Dr. Rausch completed his veterinary degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. He then completed a one-year internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City, followed by a three-year residency in small animal cardiology at North Carolina State University. Dr. Rausch became board-certified in cardiology in 2003. Dr. Rausch specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease in small animals. His areas of special interest include congenital heart disease, management of congestive heart failure, treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and breed-specific cardiac diseases. He performs interventional cardiology procedures including the placement of transvenous pacemakers, cardiac catheterization, selective angiography and balloon valvuloplasty.
