A testimonial from one of our patients

By Kelly Woods/Walsh | May 11, 2006

Southern Arizona Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center staffers unpack at their new East Side location, which is at 7474 E. Broadway.Hi, my name is Kelly (Woods/Walsh) and I’m a year old border collie. I was visiting Arizona last December/January and had an opportunity to visit your establishment. I was just a puppy at the time, I’m much older now.

I was only 7 months old, and we were visiting the Why area near Ajo in our RV and I apparently ate some gravel. My folks had to drive three times 130 miles from Why to Tucson and what started out as colitis ended up as gravel in my stomach and small intestine and the result was surgery in the early hours of January 2, 2006.

Southern Arizona Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center staffers unpack at their new East Side location, which is at 7474 E. Broadway.I really liked visiting you at the clinic except for the time when I had the surgery. I really liked all the people, cause I’m a people dog. Now that I’m almost fully grown, I’d like to thank all the people there who helped me. In particular Dr. Rachel Temkin and Brenna Heenan, also, Dr. Andrea Delike and Dr. Vera Tucker, also Dr. Kerri Beck & Dr. Krone and technician Raven, and all the other doctors and technicians who’s name I don’t know.

I am totally recovered and have become quite the Frisbee catcher. I also love to run through big mud puddles. I’m sending you a couple of pictures, one of me and the mud puddle. The other one you can see me better. I hope you can open them. Thanks again for all the help you gave me.
