Timothy M. Krone, DVM

Emergency Medicine

Dr. Timothy Krone combines a background in both equine and small animal health care to Southern Arizona Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center. Prior to moving to Tucson in 2005, Dr. Krone worked with harness bred horses in training and racing, equine reproductive and neonatal care as well as general medical care and small animal surgery at the Governors Avenue Animal Hospital in Dover, Delaware. He provided emergency and critical care at the Delmarva Animal Emergency Center in Dover

He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Delaware Veterinary Medical Association and the American Association of Equine Practitioners. His internship was in small animal medicine and surgery at the Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Pullman, WA.

In addition to his academic and professional background, Dr. Krone was a volunteer for the Humane Society Remote Area Veterinary Services in El Salvador and Costa Rica, and on Native American Reservations in New Mexico, Washington and Montana.
