Our pets are susceptible to the same diseases and internal organ problems that we are. And just like us, they need an internal medicine
specialist. At Southern Arizona Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center, we diagnose and treat a wide variety of internal medicine disorders including endocrine (Diabetes mellitus, diabetes insipidus, Cushing's, Addisons, hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, disorders of calcium metabolism), gastrointestinal, urinary, respiratory, hematological and infectious diseases. The Internal Medicine service utilizes state-of-the-art endoscopic equipment to non-invasively examine the gastrointestinal tract, lungs, nose and upper airways and urinary bladder. Diagnosis and treatment is provided by Dawn Bachman, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM, who has an extensive background in diagnosing and treating conditions of the gastrointestinal, respiratory, and urinary tracts, and utilize a wide variety of endoscopic and biopsy procedures.
