Diane Dereszynski, DVM,

Dr. Dereszynski received her DVM in 2003 from the University of California-Davis College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2004 she completed an internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital and moved to Ithaca, NY where she completed a two year Internal Medicine residency at Cornell University. In 2006 she returned to Los Angeles to work as an internist at VCA, a large specialty and general practice hospital.

In 2008 Dr. Dereszynski received board certification in Veterinary Internal Medicine and joined the Bay Area Veterinary Specialists in San Leandro, CA. She worked closely with two other internists to cover appointments, hospitalized patients, and procedures seven days a week on a rotating schedule. As a residency advisor Dr. Dereszynski provided direct supervision and guidance for a small animal internal medicine resident, including medical record review, board review, and instruction in diagnostic modalities which included gastroduodenal and colonic endoscopy, rhinoscopy, cystoscopy, bronchoscopy, arthrocentesis, and bone marrow aspiration.

Dr. Dereszynski enjoys outdoor activities including running, biking, and hiking, and looks forward to the warm sun in Arizona.
